Saplinbrae was built in 1756, and was originally a coaching inn, before becoming a rectory, country house and then a hotel in the 20th century. Nestled on a beautiful country estate near the village of Mintlaw, the hotel offers a selection of luxurious guest rooms, as well as stylish self-catering lodges and all-day dining, showcasing the finest locally-sourced produce. Dogs are welcome.

The hotel has single, double and 4-poster rooms to choose from, each furnished to a high standard with attractive contemporary décor complementing the original architectural features of the property. All guest bedrooms feature en suite facilities, locally-made toiletries, a television, Wifi access, hospitality tray and scenic views of the gardens and Aberdeenshire countryside.

For self-catering, the Old Shooting Lodge sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. Willow Lodge is next door and features a lovely double-bedded en suite room. There are also timber log cabins accommodating 6 people. The restaurant and bar are open throughout the day serving excellent food and quality wines, spirits, cocktails and beers from several independent vineyards and Scottish brewers.
