Ayen Cottage

Welcome to Ayen Cottage, a small family-owned bed and breakfast situated in Ballygrant, a small village on the Inner Hebrides Isle of Islay, off the western coast of Scotland. Offering a peaceful and secluded location on a hillslope, with panoramic views across open moorland and wooded areas, this B & B provides an ideal base from which to explore the whole island by car, bike or on foot.

There are 3 flexible bedrooms, 2 of which can be arranged with a super king or twin beds and a third bedroom which is pet-friendly and can sleep up to 3 people, as either a double and a single or 3 single beds. All have en suite or private facilities, TV, radio, Wifi and a well-stocked beverage tray with fresh home bakes. Travel cots and highchairs can be provided for accompanying infants.

A tasty Scottish breakfast is served in the morning, with specialities such as haggis, kippers and homemade preserves to try. There is an inn just 2 miles away from the cottage serving food and the ferry terminal at Port Askaig is only 5 miles away, with passenger services to the Scottish mainland and a regular service to Feolin on the Isle of Jura. In summer there is also a weekly service to Oban.
