Ballivicar Farm Cottages

Ballivicar Farm Apartments are 3 former farm buildings which have been sensitively converted into self-catering holiday accommodation, situated on a family-run smallholding on the Isle of Islay in the Southern Hebrides. The properties provide a quiet setting in a rural location, just 2 miles outside Port Ellen where you can catch a ferry or aeroplane to the mainland.

The Bothy and The Hayloft are cosy apartments for 2 guests, featuring an open plan living area, twin bedroom and en suite bathroom. The Chougherie sleeps 5 guests with a lounge, kitchen, king size en suite master bedroom, twin room, single bedroom and bathroom. All have an equipped kitchen area, TV, Wifi and parking. Dogs are allowed by agreement.

The beaches along Kilmaughton Bay are close by. Islay is known as the Queen of the Hebrides, with its whisky production the number one attraction. Other activities for tourists include golf, fishing, cycling, birdwatching and walking. Port Charlotte is home to the Museum of Islay Life and there are restaurants, pubs, craft shops and a bi-weekly summer craft market in Port Ellen and Bruichladdich.
