Torsa Island Farmhouse

Torsa Island Farmhouse is a spacious holiday home situated on this beautiful island in the ‘Slate Isles’. Meaning ‘Thor’s Island’ in Old Norse language, this self-catering property provides panoramic views across Loch Melfort, the other islands and the Scottish mainland. Guests enjoy solitude and a tranquil, car-free environment.

Sleeping 6, dogs are also welcome. There is a sitting room with a sofa, high backed chairs, Freesat TV and log burning stove, as well as an equipped kitchen with ornamental range oven and dining area. The conservatory provides amazing views. There is a double bedroom, twin room and a room with bunk beds.

The bathroom has a bathtub and power shower, and there is also a separate shower room and Wifi throughout the farmhouse. Outside, there is half-an-acre of enclosed gardens, with an electric buggy and motorboat with lifejackets and tuition for novices. If you have your own boat, you are welcome to bring it along with you.

The island itself is made up of hills, bays and meadows teeming with wildlife. Provisions are available in Oban or Seil Island. Torsa is part of the Armaddy Castle Estate, a short distance away on the mainland. As a guest, you are welcome to use the castle's facilities, which include a games room, tennis court, fishing loch and gardens.
