For a bed and breakfast with a difference, come and stay on The Albatros Wells. A late 19th century former Dutch cargo ship permanently moored in the port of Wells-next-the-Sea, with uninterrupted views across the water to the marsh habitats beyond, guests can stay overnight, eat in the restaurant and have a drink in the friendly bar.

Bedrooms have been sensitively converted from the former crew quarters, with children and dogs welcome to stay. A delicious breakfast is served to all overnight guests in the morning. All visitors can call in for refreshments throughout the day or try the home-cooked dinners. The bar is stocked with a range of drinks, including local ales and spirits, which can be enjoyed in the refurbished cargo hold or outside on the deck.

Wells-next-the-Sea is nestled in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, between Holkham Beach and the bird sanctuary of Blakeney Point. Wells is a charming town with a leafy Georgian Square, and on Staithe Street, a selection of traditional and contemporary shops. Cycling and boating are just down the road at Holkham Hall and woodland walks, seal trips and bird watching opportunities are also close by.
