The New Inn, located in the beautiful village of Cerne Abbas in rural Dorset, is a former 16th century coaching inn, offering bed and breakfast accommodation. We are recognised in many good pub guides, and are proud to offer superb food and real ale in our bar and restaurant. We have free Wifi connectivity in public areas, a garden, courtyard and ample free on-site parking for guests. We are proud to have a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.

There are 10 rooms at The New Inn, which are all individually-named, contemporary and beautifully presented. All rooms are en-suite with either a bath or shower and some sleep up to 3 people. Wey, Piddle and Bere are double rooms; Frome, Asker and Allen are king-size; Wrackle is also king-size but dog-friendly; Cerne and Winterborne are king-size with a living area and Tadnoll is a super-king / twin with disabled access. We have ironing facilities available. We prepare and cook breakfasts to order every morning and source local Dorset produce wherever possible.

Cerne Abbas is located between Dorchester and Sherborne in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was the site of an important Benedictine abbey and is a thriving village, identified as Abbots-Cernel by the author Thomas Hardy. The village is known for the Cerne Abbas Giant, a 55-metre high naked figure carved into the chalk hillside. It is within easy reach of Weymouth, Bridport, Shaftsbury and Blandford Forum and the stunning Jurassic Coast.
