The Old Watermill is a Grade II listed former mill nestled on the banks of the River Nene in the Northamptonshire village of Great Doddington, close to Wellingborough. Water from the mill stream still passes under the building through the mill race and has water powered by hydro powered elecricity and air sourced heat pumps for central heating, the house has been sensitively renovated to provide an excellent self-catering holiday home for 4 guests, with an accompanying well-behaved pet also welcome to stay.

The interior features original elm trusses with some of the old mill workings, exposed stonework and vaulted ceilings, whilst offering modern décor. The sitting room has a leather suite, wood burning stove, TV and DVD and there is a dining area and oak kitchen. The master bedroom has a 4-poster bed and en suite WC, and the other bedroom can be arranged with a king size or twin beds. Both have a private bath / shower room.

There is also a utility room with a freezer and washer / dryer. The small garden area is along the riverfront and there is guest car parking for 2 vehicles. Recently built are 3 fishing platforms exclusively for guests’ use. The mill is close to nature reserves and there are various other water-based activities to try further along the river.
