Teal Cottage

Teal Cottage is a brick and flint cottage offering a self-catering holiday home in the hamlet of Burham Overy Staithe, along the sandy banks of the River Burn estuary. A former fisherman’s home, the exposed beams, wooden latch doors and a few surprises have been retained from the original building, which has been modernised to provide accommodation for 6 or 7 guests.

The sitting room has an open fire, L-shaped sofa, armchairs and a digital TV. The kitchen is well-equipped for holiday breaks and there is a separate dining room with wood burning stove, foldaway dining table and French doors to the garden. The original winding staircase leads to a double bedroom, a twin and a room with bunk beds, with a foldaway bed also available if required.

The cottage also includes a bathroom, additional toilet, plus a utility room with a washer / dryer and handy drying area. The garden is enclosed, featuring fruit trees, a lawn and a picnic bench. On-road car parking is available at the front. The village playing field is adjacent to the cottage, with play equipment, a zip wire and tennis courts, and there is a pub at the end of the road.
