Fia Cottage is a detached home found in the rural community of Quendale, on the southern peninsula of Mainland Shetland. Built in the late-19th century as a shop and post office, the property was a family home from the 1960s. In the present day, this sensitively updated self-catering cottage accommodates 4 guests, with families and dogs welcome. Local amenities are just 1.5 miles away.

The house provides a comfortable open plan living room, with a lounge area equipped with an L-shaped sofa, wood burning stove and TV; and a country-style kitchen with a dining table / chairs. There are also porches to the front and back, a utility room with laundry equipment, downstairs bathroom, an open plan double bedroom upstairs, with a spacious twin room just opposite. Wifi is available.

There are views from the front porch, which also opens onto a small lawned garden, and car parking is provided. The south end of Mainland Shetland, known as ‘The Ness’, is a prime spot for sightseeing, walking and wildlife-watching. Sumburgh is 5 miles away with its airport, ferry terminal, beach and Iron Age village. The cottage is also just 23 miles from Lerwick, the capital town of Shetland.
