Aite MhicCealaig is a stone-built thatched cottage on a family croft in the community of Kilphedar on the Isle of South Uist. Dating back to the early 19th century, the house has been extensively renovated to provide an eco-friendly self-catering holiday home for 4, with underfloor heating powered by a ground source heat pump.

The property comprises an open plan living room with seating, TV, French doors to the garden, a dining table and a very well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. There is a king size bedroom with a stylish en suite shower room, twin bedroom and bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and separate shower enclosure.

Wifi is provided and laundry equipment is found in the adjacent outhouse. There is an enclosed garden with a lawn and gravelled patio, plus car parking. Dogs are allowed with prior permission. Guests will find a sandy beach within a short walk and a 5-minute drive takes you to the nearest shop, post office and garage for fuel.
