The Chequers Inn

The Chequers Inn of Amersham is a 15th century pub with bed and breakfast rooms in the older part of this Buckinghamshire town, alongside the River Misbourne. The building has a striking whitewashed exterior and is surrounded by brick and flint cottages, with a free car park.

The bedrooms are in the guest cottage, with all featuring en suite facilities, free Wifi and complimentary tea and coffee available in the room and from the bar. There are single, double and twin rooms, with a delicious cooked breakfast served to overnight guests in the morning.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a menu of home cooked British classic dishes, with a separate vegan menu available. The bar is stocked with a range of drinks and guests can enjoy live sport on the big screen TVs or join in with poker nights. There is also a function room for hire.

The inn is 7 minutes’ walk from Amersham Railway Station, which has 35-minute connections to Central London and 30-minute links to Heathrow Airport. Services to Wembley Stadium are also available, taking 20 minutes. There is easy access to the M40, M25, M4 and M1 motorways.
