Carmichael Country Cottages

Carmichael Country Cottages are a collection of 19th century stone holiday cottages on a country estate containing Scotland’s oldest farming family business, between Lanark and Biggar. There are 16 sensitively converted and dog-friendly self-catering homes, each unique and varying from a Visit Scotland 2-Star to 4-Star rating.

There are cosy cottages for couples, including Pond Cottage with views across the adjacent wildlife pond, as well as family-friendly cottages for 4 or 5 people, including the 4-Star rated Laundry House which is part of the Victorian former laundry building. The largest is Gardener’s Cottage, which sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms.

All have a comfortable living space, equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and access to the extensive grounds, with woodland walks and secluded picnic spots.
