For a quiet and scenic haven close to beautiful Cranbourne Chase, come to Kingsettle Camping Retreat. Situated on a small family-run dairy farm near Bruton and on the boundary of 3 counties, this site offers camping and glamping, providing the perfect location for exploring this hidden area beneath King Alfred’s Tower.
With children and well-behaved dogs welcome, there are 18 pitches including 8 which are family pitches and 12 which are exclusively for adults. Tents, campervans and touring caravans can all be accommodated. The facilities include toilets, showers, dishwashing sinks, a recreation field, play area and table tennis room.
There is also ‘Daisy’, which is a converted cattle trailer sleeping 2 in a sofa bed, with solar powered lighting and USB charging, plus a separate camping kitchen. ‘Gabriel’ the shepherd’s hut sleeps 2 adults with room for a child and includes a log burner, kitchenette and composting WC.
