Thirlestane Castle Caravan Park

Thirlestane Castle Caravan Park is a family-friendly touring and camping site with lodges for hire, located in the beautiful grounds of this beautiful 16th century castle on the outskirts of Lauder. An idyllic setting, surrounded by woodland and adjacent to the River Leader, this is a wonderful environment for a relaxing short break or holiday.

Motorhomes, caravans and tents are all welcome, with a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches. Electric hook-up is free and there are special rates for walkers or people arriving by bike. Pets are allowed. Visitors can use the modern toilets and showers, with disabled and family facilities, dishwashing sinks and a laundry. There is Site Wifi, a children’s play area, river fishing and guests enjoy reduced rates for entry to the castle and gardens.

Thirlestane Woodland Lodges are located across the river from the park and have views over the castle turrets. These 2 and 3-bedroomed dog-friendly lodges include Wifi, a Smart TV, hot tub on a private decked area, EV charging and bike store. The site is easy-to-find, close to the A68.
