Breaks Fold Farm Campsite

Breaks Fold Farm is a traditional Yorkshire hill farm in the beautiful Washburn Valley, part of the Nidderdale AONB and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The farm overlooks Thruscross Reservoir; with access to excellent walking, cycling and fishing throughout the valley. Harrogate, Skipton and Leeds are also within easy striking distance.

Members of the Freedom Camping Club, but open to all, there is a camping field exclusively for tents and small campervans, and an area of grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hook-ups for caravans and motorhomes only. Caravan valeting and help with pitching can be provided if required. There are modern toilets and showers available.

For glamping, the shepherd’s huts both sleep 2 adults and have a double bed, small kitchenette, en suite shower room, balcony and dining areas inside and out. The traditional Mongolian yurt sleeps 4 in a double and 2 futon beds, and includes a wood burner. There is also a static caravan, also sleeping 4, with the option of hiring a wood fired hot tub.

Guests can explore walks from the site around the Washburn Valley and down to the reservoir where you can go kayaking or fishing. The area has also been awarded Dark Sky Status, due to the outstanding night skies on offer, great for stargazing.
