On the 20,000-acre Swinton Estate within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Swinton Bivouac provides an off-grid glamping experience on an eco-friendly site, near the village of Ilton which is c. 3.5 miles from the market town of Masham. There are wonderful countryside views and easy access to extensive walking and cycling trails, plus an 18th century Druid’s Temple. A great place to relax and reconnect with nature, dogs are welcome.

The Tree Lodges are rustic but luxurious; each accommodating up to 7 people in a king bed located up a ladder in the mezzanine area, with a triple cabin room and double cabin room separated from the main living area by curtains. The lodges also have a warming log burning stove, kitchenette and en suite shower room. Outside, there is a covered veranda, hammocks nestled in the trees and a hot tub. Tree Lodge guests also have access to the woodland sauna.

The 7 Meadow Yurts are Mongolian-style yurts for 4 guests with a double bed, 2 single beds, a wood burning stove, own toilet and outdoor seating area, plus use of the communal camp kitchen and showers. Site facilities include a communal lounge, wood-fired hot tub and the Bivouac Café serving breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes and refreshments. There are various activities available on-site, from yoga classes to wild swimming.
