North Dale Self-Catering is a charming stone-built cottage situated on the Isle of Unst, near Haroldswick. Family-owned, this is a sensitively renovated former croft house sleeping up to 6 guests for holidays. The cottage retains characterful beamed ceilings and whitewashed external walls, whilst providing all of the modern comforts.

The lounge has a 3-piece suite, Smart TV and patio doors to the garden. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a dining table, plus a utility room. Guests will also find 2 double bedrooms, a twin room and bathroom with a shower. Outside, is a large enclosed garden with a table and chairs on the patio, overlooking quiet open fields and countryside all around. Dogs are welcome to stay with prior agreement and there is on-site parking.

Norwick Beach is close by and Saxa Vord Distillery offers tours and gin tasting. Unst is Britain’s most northerly inhabited island, with cliffs, sea stacks and sheltered bays. Gannets, guillemots and kittiwakes can all be seen here, whilst marine life off the coast includes seals, porpoises and whales. The island is a wonderful place for walkers, cyclists, those interested in history, as well as geologists, botanists and birdwatchers.
