Located along the East Quay in the port town of Wells-next-the-Sea, The Old Custom House is an historic property dating back to 1560. This is a welcoming, family-owned bed and breakfast with self-catering accommodation overlooking the scenic tidal creeks and marshlands of Wells, only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town.
The Fourposter Suite and the Captain’s Quarters Room (which can only be booked in addition to the Fourposter) both have a TV, Wifi, hairdryer and beverage tray. The 4-poster room has an en suite bathroom and Captain’s Quarters has a private bathroom. A continental or cooked breakfast is included, featuring fresh local produce.
In addition, The Queen’s Warehouse is an annexe to the main house offering self-catering facilities with a kitchen, twin bedroom and shower room. Wheelchair and dog-friendly, it has its own entrance. Also, immediately behind Old Custom House is Rose Cottage, a self-catering holiday home for 2 adults and 2 children, with pets allowed.
