The Rock Inn

The Rock Inn is an award-winning Dartmoor pub and restaurant with B & B rooms located in the peaceful hamlet of Haytor Vale, below the famous Haytor Rocks. This 19th century former coaching inn is about 8 miles from Newton Abbot and ideally placed for short breaks and longer stays in this beautiful area of Devon. The restaurant has a prestigious 2-Rosette rating for culinary excellence.

The 9 guest bedrooms are tastefully-furnished, in keeping with the characterful exposed wooden beams and vaulted ceilings. There are double bedrooms including a room with a private balcony, a 4-poster room, and bedroom which can be arranged with a double or twin beds. All have thoughtful décor, en suite facilities, a TV, telephone and welcome tray. A hearty Dartmoor breakfast is inclusive.

Early Mist Cottage is a self-catering holiday home just next door. Accommodating 8 guests over 3 spacious floors, this is a charming 4-bedroomed cottage with 2 bathrooms and a large garden. The inn provides residents with evening meals Monday and Tuesday, and lunch and dinner are available for all from Wednesday to Sunday. The traditional bar is stocked with a range of local ales and fine wines.
