Beech Estate Campsite offers camping and glamping in a beautiful 600-acre forest near the East Sussex town of Battle. Visitors can enjoy the off-grid, peaceful and scenic location surrounded by the sounds of nature, yet only 8 miles from the coast, with its many beaches and attractions.
Campers can choose a tent pitch in the glades, on the side of the Bracken Valley or deep within the forest, each with a fire pit and seating; or a hammock pitch. Completely vehicle-free, guests can use the wheelbarrows provided to transport equipment from the parking area.
There are also 5-metre bell tents furnished with a double bed, single bed and plenty of space for accompanying children; with a wind-up lantern, fire pit and picnic bench outside. Groups and multiple families can be accommodated in both the camping area and bell tents.
The campsite has composting loos, bucket showers and water taps around the site, plus a main shower block. There is an inn serving a food menu a mile away. The town of Battle has shops, eateries, tea rooms, historical pubs, museums and the 1066 Battle Abbey and battlefield.
