For a traditional camping experience along the River Ouse in the National Trust’s Sheffield Park, visit Ouse Meadow Campsite. Only 6 miles from Uckfield and close to the historic Bluebell Railway with its fascinating steam trains, this site is popular with families, walkers and fishing enthusiasts. Dogs are allowed.

The site accepts tents / small campervans only and is divided into 3 meadows. Main Meadow and Little Brooks Meadow are kept vehicle-free, with the parking area close by, and Railway Meadow is the largest. Little Brooks Meadow can be exclusively booked for groups. All have hammocks, swings and a games area.

There are toilets and outdoor showers. Campfires are allowed, with fire pit hire and wood sold on-site. Guests can also camp in the pre-erected bell tents equipped with double futon beds, soft furnishings and tea lights. There is direct access to the riverbank and a pizza van visits on most Saturday evenings.
