Hale Farm provides a camping site, glamping facilities and a self-catering barn conversion, on a 56-acre farm in a rural setting near the village of Golden Cross, in the Cuckmere Valley. This farm site is ideally placed for walkers following the Weald Way and holidaymakers visiting the beaches and attractions along the south-east coast.
Glampers can stay in the 3 luxury bell tents which sleep 6 and are equipped with a double bed, set of bunk beds (double with single over the top), a camp bed, battery-powered lights, fairy lights, a kitchen box of equipment, and outside picnic bench and fire bowl. Each tent also has its own private shower room with WC and sink.
The shepherd’s hut is a cosy space for 2 guests, featuring a double bed, kitchenette with sink, wood burning stove and charging point for phones, plus an al fresco dining table outside. There is also the self-catering Hale Barn for 8 guests, with a hot tub. Open from April to September, the family-friendly campsite is suitable for all tent sizes.
Visitors are welcome to meet the farm animals including free range chickens, turkeys, geese and resident ducks. Eggs can be purchased. There is also a herd of Pygmy goats and a pedigree flock of Lleyn sheep grazing across the farm. Please visit the website for more information about the site, availability and local area attractions.
