Compton Farm

Compton Farm offers a caravan and camping site with glamping tents and caravans, situated within the beautiful chalk downs of the Isle of Wight National Landscape (formerly AONB). Located 1.5 miles east of Freshwater Bay on the A3055 road, this site is in a great location, with walks straight from the farm. Compton Bay beach is less than half a mile away. Families are welcome and well-behaved dogs are allowed.

Tents, motorhomes and caravans can pitch up on the well-drained grass camping field with views across meadows towards the hills. For those interested in glamping, the already-pitched bell tents are available for hire, sleeping up to 4 guests. There are also 2 and 3-bedroomed caravans for holiday let (some dog-friendly). Site amenities include toilets, showers, a small laundry room and washing-up sinks.

There are a choice of footpaths found both inland and along the coast, plus a golf course nearby. Freshwater has a museum and gallery, sports centre and plenty of independent shops, eateries and some pubs. Farringford House (former home of poet of Alfred, Lord Tennyson) is well worth a visit and The Needles Landmark Attraction is within easy reach.
