The Black Barn

The Black Barn is a Visit England 4-Star Gold Award rated holiday home for 2 guests, on a family-owned working beef farm in the village of Herstmonceux. Owners Jon and Liz offer a warm welcome. The local village is located on the A271, between Battle in the east and Hailsham in the west, on the southern edge of the High Weald.

On ground floor level, this sympathetically-restored former barn has an open plan living area with French doors opening to the patio, a sofa, armchair, wood burning stove, Smart TV, games console, extendable dining table and an equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has a king size bed and the bathroom has a shower over the bathtub.

Wheelchair ramps can be provided with prior notice. There is Wifi and heating throughout the barn and 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed. The private outside patio area has a table and chairs, with a barbeque. Guests will also find parking with free EV charging. The village centre is within a short walk, providing shops and amenities.
