The Ancient Gatehouse

A stunning historic building in the centre of Wells, offering fantastic views across to the cathedral and grounds. Staff will ensure you receive a friendly welcome and will be on hand to help you have a pleasant stay.

Each room has been individually designed with pastel colours and fine furnishings to give them a warm and cosy feeling. All are en-suite with TV, hospitality tray and wifi. Some have the added luxury of a 4 poster bed. A delicious breakfast is included but you can request half board with dinner served in our fabulous Rugantinos Restaurant, offering fine Italian food.

There are shops, museums and the Cathedral virtually on the door step for you to visit. The Mendip hills is a short drive away for lovely walks and beautiful countryside.
