The Swan, in Wedmore, is a friendly village pub offering bed and breakfast with a kitchen led by Tom Blake from River Cottage. The building, a former Beer House from the early 1700s, has been recently refurbished and has sympathetically restored architecture. We are open all day for light bites or a meal. Have a relaxing drink next to the fire in the bar, eat in the restaurant, terrace or enjoy the garden. We offer a simply, tasty pub menu using own bread and cakes and our own cured hams and bacon, plus fresh fish delivered 6 days a week from Brixham and fresh meat such as pork provided by our local butcher.

The Swan has seven individually designed comfortable en-suite guest bedrooms. There are six bedrooms on the first floor comprising 3 large rooms, 2 medium-sized rooms and 1 small room. The upstairs 7th bedroom is a spacious loft room.

Wedmore is sited south of the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills, halfway between Wells and Burnham-on-Sea. To the north lies Cheddar Moor. This area is one of the best places in the country for birdwatching. Limestone caverns dot the surrounding landscape, as do nature reserves. Old farmsteads sit amongst the rolling green hills.
