The Wold Cottage

The Wold Cottage is situated in Wold Newton, a peaceful village in the Yorkshire Wolds in East Yorkshire. The bed and breakfast accommodation is family-run by Katrina and Derek Gray, and provides 5 luxury individual bedroom suites; the Major Topham Suite, J.B. Bird Suite, The Parker Suite, Miss Davey Suite, Robson Family Suite plus one standard double room; Marie Cowslip. The rooms are all named after previous residents of the last 250 years, complementing the style of the Georgian manor house. Our comprehensive breakfast menu includes a choice of cereal and porridge, croissants, Full English with locally-sourced produce, kippers, smoked haddock and poached egg, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, Yorkshire ham and Wensleydale cheese or Filey Bay crab and boiled egg. Also included are home-made jams and local honey.

Wold Newton is situated approximately 9 miles (14 km) south of Scarborough and 9 miles north-west of Bridlington. Wold Newton is located within the Great Wold Valley and the course of the Gypsey Race chalk stream passes through the south of the village. It is a wonderful base for touring this park of Yorkshire.
