The Downe Arms is a friendly, family-run inn with a rich history. Built around 1800, it had one of the first female landladies of the time, and on the first floor was once the local courthouse. We offer a traditional home-cooked menu, have a carvery on Sunday and also have a superb Indian restaurant.

Our accommodation is in a Mews Type Cottage setting and positioned away from the main building. We have twin, double and family en-suite rooms with tea and coffee making facilities and Freeview TV. Hairdryer and ironing facilities are also available. We have ground and first floor rooms with 3 rooms with wheelchair access, and 1 full disabled room including wet room with shower. There is free on-site parking and a lock-up for bicycles.

Snaith is one of most westerly towns of the East Riding of Yorkshire, 6 miles west of Goole. It is close to The Pennine Way which is popular with cyclists and walkers alike. There are 15 walks known as The Heritage Walks ranging from 1.50 miles to 8.75 miles; some suitable for those with wheelchair disabilities.
