Welcome to Mather House, a charming bed and breakfast in the village of East Hendred in Oxfordshire, which is known as the most well-connected village in Britain because of its proximity to the railway station in Didcot, the M4, and the local cities/towns of Oxford, Newbury and Reading. We are only 5 minutes by car from both the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, as well as Milton Park, one of the largest business parks in the county. Despite this, we are found in a tranquil setting in the middle of beautiful countryside with many footpaths and bridleways to be explored.

We have single, twin, double and family rooms, most with en-suite facilities. All rooms have a TV, Wifi and a beverage tray. In the morning, we can offer an earlier breakfast time for our business guests who might need to leave early. In addition to our normal rooms, we also have a small number of self-catering studios with a small kitchen area along with a lounge with TV and desk. The apartments look out directly over open countryside.

Mather House has a residents area and expansive gardens backing onto orchards where you can relax. There is free secure parking on-site. For those wishing to eat out in the evening, there are 3 pubs in the village offering a wide range of food types and refreshments.
