Shepherds Dene Retreat House

Originally built in 1906 as a family home in the Arts and Craft style, Shepherds Dene is a magnificent Edwardian country house retreat, set in 26 acres of beautiful grounds for you to explore, from formal lawns to a woodland stream.

Perfectly placed within easy of reach of Newcastle, Durham and Carlisle we offer an excellent place for retreats, small conferences and meetings, the house can be hired as a whole giving guests the privacy to make themselves at home or in part, for smaller groups and individuals. A breakfast is included in the tariff, with full board also available.

The house and grounds are remarkably preserved and full of original features. Prayer House in the grounds and Chapel in the house. There is wifi throughout.
