Parkhead Station and Tea Rooms was once the Station Masters house, and is a hidden gem nestled in the beautiful Durham Dales. Lovingly restored by owners Terry and Lorraine, it now provides a sanctuary to the many walkers and cyclists visiting the area, whether they are just popping in for a cuppa or staying in our lovely guestrooms.

Our rooms offer a cosy and comfortable place to rest and relax, all named after the former stations that were part of the original railway line to Consett. We have Blanchland and Burnhill which can sleep up to 4, Rowley and Waskerley which are both double rooms and the Sleeper room which can sleep up to 6. We have a drying room, secure cycle storage and a comfortable guest lounge. A hearty Full English breakfast is included and served in our rustic dining room. We use the best local ingredients to cook our dishes, all made-to-order, and we can cater for special diets. We can also provide evening meals and packed lunches by arrangement.

Our Tea Rooms are open all year round and provide excellent home-cooked food and fabulous Sunday lunches. The historic town of Stanhope is 3 miles away offering restaurants, shops and pubs. Whether you are passing through or staying over, you will always be very welcome at Parkhead Station!
