Askernish Bed and Breakfast

You can expect a warm traditional Scottish welcome at Askernish Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful town of Port Ellen on the Isle of Islay. This delightful B and B is run by your experienced host Joy, who will ensure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay on the island.

We have homely guestrooms with en suite facilities, Freesat TV, Wifi, ironing facilities and refreshment tray. There are single, double and twin rooms available with a delicious Full Scottish breakfast served in the morning. We can also provide kippers or smoked haddock if you prefer.

Port Ellen is the second largest town on Islay situated in a sheltered part of the island, offering views to the Oa Peninsula and to Kilnaughton Bay. Port Ellen has several shops, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and pubs, a garage, post office and information office. Every Thursday in the summer season, a handcraft market is held in Columba Hall. The Port Ellen Marina provides a haven for yachtsmen passing through the Sound of Jura.
