Molecatcher's Cottage

Welcome to Molecatcher’s Cottage, an elegant country cottage offering self-catering accommodation in the former mining village of Allenheads in the North Pennines AONB. Surrounded by the beautiful Northumberland Countryside and on the C2C cycle route, we are also close to many excellent walks.

Sensitively renovated and retaining its charming oak beams and with a lovely walled garden, there are a host of contemporary comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including a cosy log burning stove in the lounge, a fully fitted kitchen and family bathroom. The cottage sleeps 4 in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

Allenheads has a friendly inn and a café, all within walking distance of the cottage. The historic town of Hexham is 18 miles away with its arts centre, shops and abbey. If you like outdoor pursuits then Kielder Water offers sailing, water skiing and fishing.
