Balcarres Bed and Breakfast is a friendly place to stay, a mile outside of Fort William. With stunning views across Loch Linnhe and with Ben Nevis a short drive away, we are ideally placed for a holiday break in this beautiful area of the Scottish Highlands. We welcome dogs and can offer a dog-sitting service.

All our rooms offer a warm, comfortable place to stay, each with their own en suite shower room. They are also equipped with TV, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and beverage tray. We have double, twin and family rooms available and you are welcome to sit in the guest lounge. A delicious full Scottish breakfast is included and we can also provide lighter bites, continental or vegetarian breakfasts if preferred.

This area is a paradise for walking, cycling, mountaineering and skiing, but there are also plenty of other things to do. Take the Jacobite steam train from Fort William to Mallaig, visit Ben Nevis Distillery, the West Highland Museum or Neptune’s Staircase.
