South Allington House

Welcome to South Allington House, a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian house offering a choice of bed and breakfast or self-catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Chivelstone. Set in stunning gardens and only a short drive to the beaches, coves and bays of the Devonshire coastline, we are perfectly located for a relaxing holiday break. We are also a popular venue for weddings or special events.

There are 5 elegant bed and breakfast rooms in the main house, all with en suite facilities, TV, hairdryer and beverage tray. Relax in the guest lounge and enjoy a delicious breakfast cooked on our Aga, with our own home-made preserves. We have 3 self-catering properties on the estate accommodating 6, 7 and 12 guests, all furnished to a high standard.

Guests are welcome to explore our attractive gardens, have a game of croquet on the lawn or play tennis on our courts. There is also coarse fishing on the lake and you might like to meet our resident lambs and ducks. Owners Barbara and Edward have lived here for 26 years and are happy to chat about the history of the house and local area.
