Newton Poppleford is a large village near Sidmouth, within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is on the route of a Roman road from Axmouth to Exeter. It includes many cottages, a shop and St Luke's Church which was founded in 1331. The East Devon Way path passes close by.
