Fern Down Farm

Ferndown Farm, in a rural setting near Dorchester, has 2 self-catering cottages available for holiday stays, nestled in a quiet and secluded setting, surrounded by open fields with only the sounds of the resident sheep and chickens within earshot. The cottages are located only 8 miles from the glorious Dorset coast.

The Barn offers flexible accommodation for up to 10 guests, with part of it able to be shut off for parties of 4. Carefully reconstructed to allow the original vaulted ceilings and stone walls to be incorporated into the design, there is a ground floor twin bedroom, 2 double futon beds in 2 sitting rooms and 2 double bedrooms in the mezzanine. With wide doors, en suite wet room, The Barn is also able to accommodate wheelchairs or guests with disabilities. We are able to hire out hoists and electric beds.

Fern Down Cottage can also sleep up to 10, with a sofa bed in the lounge. The 2 cottages can be booked together for larger groups and we also have a field which can be hired out for parties, weddings or family events. We also run Simulated Clay Days for experienced shotgun owners.
