Little Quarme Cottages

Little Quarme Farm is set in 17 acres of gardens and grounds, with stunning views across the Quarme Valley, perched nearly 1,000ft above sea level, a couple of miles from Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor. We have six cottages, sleeping up to 22 people, all of which are dog friendly with their own gardens or patios. We have 2 acres of communal garden with an ornamental pond, a games room with a large sun deck, a vast BBQ, and ample free parking with a brace of EV Chargers. We offer rustic luxury for hikers, dog owners, couples, and families wanting a beautiful quiet base from which to explore Exmoor National Park.

The cottages are stone built conversions from agricultural buildings dating back to the 1800's, and although self-catering, we supply luxury linen, fluffy towels from The White Company, tea (including a selection of Pukka Herbal Teas), coffee, Tyneham Luxury toiletries, and other basics from cooking oil to toilet paper. We also provide all guests with a Cream Tea on arrival and half a dozen eggs laid by our own rare breed hens. All cottages have bath tubs with showers over, irons, spare pillows and blankets, while we can supply stair gates and travel cots on request.

We have three pygmy goats alongside 25 hens, and even an African Grey parrot! We are very dog friendly, with an outdoor hot/cold dog shower and four legged guests get a basket of their own with treats, toys, water bowl, tags with our details, and blankets for the furniture. There is no hard limit on the number of dogs you can bring either - we have five of our own. We always have a field or two empty so you can let your dogs run, and we have a number of footbaths and bridleways leading directly from the farm, avoiding roads.

We are perfectly located to explore all that Exmoor has to offer - the local pub, shop, and petrol station are just 10 minutes amble along a bridleway: Dunster Castle (7 miles), Porlock Weir (8 miles), Dulverton & Tarr Steps (10 miles), Lynmouth/Valley of the Rocks (20 miles) - while the nearest sandy beach is only 9 miles drive too.
