Lowther House is a small Bed and Breakfast in a tranquil spot just outside Pickering in North Yorkshire. This 200-year-old stone house is situated next to Pickering Beck and has a small tea garden which opens 4 days a week in the warmer months. The property is part of the Duchy of Lancaster Estate and has walks into the North Yorkshire Moors from the gate. it is a popular choice for outdoors enthusiasts and people who want a relaxing stay at a quiet retreat. Small dogs are welcome.

There are 3 individually decorated rooms, all with en-suite facilities. Free Wifi, TV - unfortunately there is no signal during the months were the trees have leaves, but the TV does play DVDs (there is a large selection to choose from), fans for the hot weather and electric blankets for the a colder months, a hairdryer, mini fridge for fresh milk and filtered water, a hospitality tray plus home-made cake every day! There is also a comfortable glamping hut with a double bed.

A variety of breakfasts are offered and they are served in an elegant Jack Vettriano-themed dining room. Picnic hampers and evening meals can be provided on prior request. Special diets can be catered for as long as notification is given.
