Great Wood Eco Lodges

Great Wood Eco Lodges are 4 timber framed holiday homes offering self-catering accommodation for adults only in Great Wood near York. Set in a rural location surrounded by 20 acres of forest, each has been built from sustainable materials including organic paints, flax and recycled paper for insulation and have energy efficient lighting.

All named after local trees, our lodges are nestled around a lake teeming with wildlife. Each can comfortably sleep 4 guests and have central heating, Wifi, TV, DVD player, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and small washer/dryer, as well as an en suite double bedroom and a twin room. Outside there is a private veranda, barbecue and car parking.

Guests are welcome to fish in the lake and there are many beautiful woodland walks and cycling routes around the area. The village of Flaxton is nearby and the historic city of York is just 12 miles away. The Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB) is easily accessible and boasts rolling hills, woodlands, country estates and many visitor attractions.
