The Dutch House

The Dutch House is a self-catering holiday home believed to be York’s oldest brick house and is full of character and charm. Dating back to 1648 and Grade II-listed, it has been sensitively restored to offer an elegant place to stay, just metres from York Minster cathedral. Spanning 3 floors, this house provides luxurious accommodation for 4 guests with a secure car parking space.

Inside, you can enjoy a mix of the original architectural features and up-to-date facilities. There is underfloor heating and Wifi throughout, a lounge with TV and DVD, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven; 2 double bedrooms with en suite facilities and iPod docking stations in all rooms.

As well as a parking space, there are secure facilities for bicycles. A welcome pack including wine, handmade chocolates and cake will help you to settle in, with champagne for those staying more than 7 days. Guests will find plenty of cafes, bistros, restaurants, pubs and shops on the doorstep, including the delightful boutique shops in The Shambles.
