The Fairfax Arms

The Fairfax Arms is a welcoming place to visit in the village of Gilling East between York and Helmsley. With comfortable guest rooms, a friendly bar and beautiful restaurant, we are a haven for travellers, walkers and cyclists exploring the North York Moors and Howardian Hills. There is ample car parking.

We have a 4-Star rating from the AA and Visit England. All our rooms have en suite facilities, handmade mattresses, 40 inch TVs featuring Sky Sports and Movies, free Wifi, telephone, alarm clock and a well-stocked hospitality tray. There are king-sized rooms, twin rooms, bedrooms with improved access for guests with disabilities and dog friendly rooms. We will ensure you have a good start to the day with one of our award-winning full Yorkshire breakfasts or lighter options from our menu. Early breakfasts can also be arranged in advance if required.
