Hardgatehead Cottage

Hardgatehead Cottage is a luxurious self-catering holiday home on a family-owned farm, located a mile outside the village of West Linton. Owners Hamish and Susie will welcome you to their farm, which was featured on the BBC TV programme ‘Lambing Live’ and will ensure you have an enjoyable visit to the Borders.

The cottage sits on a site that was at the centre of a conspiracy to overthrow the throne of James VI in 1585. Today, it is nestled in the 100 acre grounds of South Slipperfield Farm offering a comfortable place to stay for 4 adults and 2 children.

The cottage has an open plan living area with direct access to a decking area outside, TV / DVD player, iPod dock, kitchen and dining bench. There is a master bedroom with king size bed and en suite facilities, a twin/double room and a loft bedroom with 2 single beds.

The decking area has a barbeque and stunning countryside views. There is also a shed for storage and car parking. The cottage is eco-friendly with electricity from a wind turbine and heating from a biomass boiler. Dogs are welcome.
