Welcome to The Bell Inn, a 19th century public house with guest rooms in the centre of Morton-on-Marsh. Popular with tourists and locals for its friendly atmosphere and delicious food, it was even visited by the famous author J.R.R. Tolkien where it is claimed he got his inspiration for The Prancing Pony in Lord of the Rings.

Our 5 guest rooms have benefitted from a recent refurbishment to provide elegant furnishings and décor. Some retain their high ceilings and exposed wooden beams. All are equipped with en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, TV, Wifi, hospitality trays and either double or twin beds. A hearty full English breakfast is included in our room rates and dogs are allowed.

Guests can enjoy a traditional pub meal from our extensive menu or range of specials, all made from local, fresh produce with children’s options available. Relax in the lounge or garden area with a drink from our well-stocked bar. We have live entertainment most Saturday evenings and there is a convenient on-site car park.
