The Royal Oak Appleby

The Royal Oak Appleby, in the beautiful Eden Valley between the Pennines and the Lake District, is a family-run 18th century country inn with guest rooms, a well-stocked bar and great food. The Inn is Visit England 4-Star Silver rated, with a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and is also dog-friendly.

Our guest rooms have stylish decor and en suite facilities. There are double, twin and family rooms with a TV, Wifi and beverage tray. Premier Rooms offer extras such as double showers, bathtubs or mini bars. Oak Cottage is a 2-bedroomed self-contained cottage next to the hotel. Sleeping up to 5 in 2 bedrooms, it also has its own lounge, dining room and kitchen.

Home cooked food is served in the restaurant or bar from a menu of British classics made from the very best of local ingredients. Private dining can also be arranged for special events or walking groups. The Tap Room is a cosy dog-friendly bar offering a variety of beverages and light snacks with a special ‘Doggie Menu’ available.
