West Nichold Cottage

West Nichold Cottage is an enchanting 17th century stone cottage situated in a commanding position above Gilsland. Originally built as a bastille house, it has been sensitively renovated to offer all the modern comforts for a self-catering holiday whilst retaining characterful original features.

Visit England 5-Star rated, the cottage sleeps 8 people. The lounge features beamed ceilings, a maple floor, comfy sofas, Freeview TV, DVD player and stunning views from the large arched framed window. The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a dishwasher and there is access to the garden through the patio door.

There are 3 en suite double bedrooms as well as a twin room and spacious downstairs wet room. Laundry facilities are found in the utility room and outside is an alpine garden and patio area. Perfectly placed for walkers and cyclists exploring the Hadrian’s Wall Trail, there is car parking, bike wash facilities and a drying room for wet kit.
