Providing AA 4-Star rated facilities, owners Rachel and Martin will ensure you are comfortable throughout your visit. Secure bike storage and free on-street permit parking is available.

Choose a single, double, twin or family room. All are en suite, with free toiletries, a TV, Wifi, mini fridge and hospitality tray. A laundry service can be arranged if required. A hearty breakfast will set you up for the day ahead, with special diets happily accommodated. Packed lunches can be provided by arrangement. We can cater for groups of up to 22 guests; perfect for walking or cycling group holidays. Dogs are also welcome.

The Angus is perfectly placed to enjoy historic Carlisle. Close to the beautiful Chinese Italian Gardens, Hadrian’s Wall trail and city centre, which is just across the river, The Sands Centre is also close by for business guests. Carlisle is the only city in Cumbria, with a compact historic centre including a castle, cathedral and semi-intact city walls, as well as other medieval buildings including the Guildhall and Tithe Barn.
