Helvellyn Cottage

Helvellyn Cottages are 2 traditional Lakeland stone cottages overlooking Ullswater in Glenridding near Penrith. Former miners' cottages, each has been modernised to offer comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation for 4 people. Both offer lake and fell views, with plenty of footpaths, cycleways and bridleways from the doorstep. Pets are welcome.

The cottages have a cosy lounge featuring a leather suite, wood burning stove, Freeview TV, DVD player and dining table / chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and there is a small dishwasher and a washing machine in the utility room. There is also a king size double bedroom, a twin room and family bathroom. The cottages have central heating and Wifi throughout.

Only one of the cottages has its own enclosed garden, although there is plenty of open countryside adjacent to both. Each has its own car parking space. There is an inn, information centre and water sports activities available from the village, with the Ullswater Steamer offering trips around the lake. Glenridding is also a popular starting point for walkers and climbers going up Helvellyn.
