Hillthwaite House Hotel

Hillthwaite is a boutique-style hotel in a hillside location with beautiful gardens, nestled in between Windermere and Bowness, with commanding views over the area. This hotel has a choice of lounges in which guests can relax, as well as a well-stocked bar, restaurant with lake and fell views, plus an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Parking is also available.

Each of our 34 bedrooms is individual and decorated with stylish furnishings and fittings. All have en suite facilities, Wifi, a TV and hospitality tray. There are single rooms, double rooms and the Signature Suites with stunning views and a separate living room. Sample a tasty Cumbrian or Vegetarian breakfast or try ‘Something Special’. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rates are also available.

Guests can relax with a beverage in Poet’s Bar or dine in whilst looking out over Lake Windermere. Our chef sources as much as possible from the Cumbrian larder and we cater for a wide array of dietary requirements. Guests can also use the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Hillthwaite is just a 15-minute walk to a wide variety of shops and attractions in town.
