The Barn & The Piggery

Low Friar Side Farm have 2 holiday cottages; The Barn and The Piggery, set within the beautiful Derwent Valley in Rowlands Gill, 8 miles SW of Newcastle upon Tyne. Surrounded by 100 acres of open fields and woodland, the area is popular for walking and cycling, with the Derwent Walk actually passing through the farm.

Providing a holiday home for 5 people, The Barn retains its original wooden trusses and stone fireplace. This cottage features a lounge, kitchen / diner, double bedroom, triple room in the attic and a bathroom. The Piggery sleeps 6, with a spacious open plan living room which opens onto the garden, a double en suite bedroom, 2 twin rooms and a main bathroom. Both cottages have Wifi, a well-equipped kitchen, lovely garden, private parking and scenic views. There is also an historic 14th Century chapel standing within sight of the cottages.
